Local Business Woman and Cancer Survivor Nominated
for Birmingham Area Chamber of Commerce 2002 Small Business Award
WHO: Dr. Kimberly Leslie Patton, native of Thomasville, Alabama
and owner of Leslie Patton & Associates Management Consulting
Firm, cancer survivor, daughter of Mrs. Ethel T. Leslie and Mr. Woodrow
Leslie, granddaughter of Mr. Benton and Mrs. Helen Thomas and Rev.
A. J. and Annie Tate Leslie (all deceased), and wife of Mr. Ralph
D. Patton has been nominated for the 2002 Birmingham Area Chamber
of Commerce Small Business Awards. In 2001 Dr. Leslie Patton received
two honors: The Life Inspiration Award by the American Cancer Society
and the Minority Economic Development - MED Week 2001 "Minority
Service Firm of the Year". Dr. Leslie-Patton was the Sardis Baptist
Church Women’s Conference Speaker in April 2002 where she shared
her visions and dreams that encouraged her to boldly speak health
and healing during the seven month period of her diagnosis and restoration
from cancer and caring for a disabled spouse who has since miraculously
recovered. She gives God all the praise and glory for what He has
done and will do in her life serving others in crises. She expects
to have her first book and record published by the end of 2002 both
entitled Journey’s End regarding spirituality and peace during
crises. Dr. Leslie-Patton currently serves on the Boards of the Birmingham
Health Care and Center for Urban Missions.
WHAT: Dr. Leslie-Patton is one of the nominees of the 2002 Birmingham Small
Businesses: Living the Dream Birmingham Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business
Week celebration.
