Dr. Kimberly
Leslie-Patton inducted into Hall of Fame
Dr. Kimberly Leslie-Patton, a Clarke County native, was
recently inducted into the "Alabama Women Business Owners Hall of Fame" at
The Club in Birmingham by the National Association of Women Business
Owners (NAWBO). The organization presented "A Night of Stars" award ceremony,
which is known for propelling women entrepreneurs into economic, social
and political spheres of power worldwide. A native of Thomasville, she is the chief executive officer (CEO)
of Leslie-Patton and Associates (LPA), a management consulting firm. The firm provides management consulting and coaching,
crisis management and trouble-shooting, technical assistance,
training and a capacity building to non-profit business, government,
education and faith-based organizations throughout the United
States. |

Serving clients
such as the Department of Health and Human Services, Department of
Labor, Social Security, Jefferson County to name a few, (LPA) is an
organization that has served many for 10 years. She has received other awards including "Women
Who Care Coca-Cola Award", "Small Business Person of the
Year Nominee" in Birmingham, Regional Chamber of Commerce, "Small
Business Person of the Year Nominee" Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, "Minority
Business Development |

Award" (MBDA)
City of Birmingham and the "Top 40 Under 40"- " from
The Birmingham News". The cancer survivor also received the Life
Long Inspiration Award from the American Cancer Society. |

After attending Clarke County High School in Grove
Hill, she furthered her education by receiving degrees such as
a Ph.D. in organization and management at Capella University in
Minneapolis, Minn., a masters in public private management from
Birmingham Southern College, bachelor of science degree from the
University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and has many certifications. Other responsibilities include public speaking,
organizational training, women conferences, national meetings,
faith-based events and prisons. According to Kimberly, "All the glory goes
to God for all the favor and blessings he has bestowed upon her
during her journey of life." Kimberly is married to Ralph D. Patton and is
the daughter of Ethel and Woodrow Leslie of Thomasville.
